Merry Christmas

Wow, what a season! I sold 3 pieces of furniture last week. The store looks really empty now.
I look forward to stocking it with new product. We have a few pieces of furniture to finish up.
Here is a picture of the bench that my hubby and I redid.
The chair shows how the bench looked before. I love it. I hope that I will be able to do more projects such as this.

Wonderful Day

Christmas on Main Street went very well!
The town was certainly bustling. The weather was great.
Both parades were well done, with alot of floats and people.
The store was very busy. It was a good day!

My little Elf.

The store all decked out for Christmas.
An arrangement I made for my husband's Christmas party.

Wow, it's been awhile

It's been a busy time at Country Lane Treasures
I'm almost ready for Christmas on Main Street.
Schomberg closes the street for the afternoon and
has different vendors on the street as well as 2 parades.
A Santa Claus parade in the afternoon and a Parade of Lights
in the evening. My son and husband will be decorating a tractor.
I've had different classes once a week, which consist
of Card making and Jewellery making.

The Store is Getting Ready for Christmas

Here are some pictures to help you get inspired.

Simple strand of greenery, some berries, candles, lights and a bowl of green apples. A red and white theme.
An inviting entrance. I like the grapevine with the mini lights.
"Believe" says it all.

Adam and Dawn's Wedding

I did my last wedding of the year last weekend.
Dawn and Adam were married Oct. 17.
They had a beautiful fall day.
The flowers were all fall toned.
Here are some pictures of the special day.

Adam and Dawn

The bouquet was made of different coloured gerberas.

Adam's Gerbera Daisy bouteniere.

The fall toned vase arrangements had alstomaria, daisies, spray roses, hypericum berries and brown wheat in them.
Cutting the cake.
The song for the first dance was called Green Apples. These arrangements were to symbolize this.
The cake topper that I made.
The beautiful cake that the bride's mom made.

Niagara on the Lake

The beautiful house we stayed at for our first Country Lane Ladies getaway at Niagara on the Lake.
Shannon and I went to an antique place and found this picture of a wedding. Look at the huge bouquets!
Look at the huge earring!
This cute little store had this interesting window hanging, made of cutout plastic flowers.
Waiting for the others.
Another interesting window idea.
Loved the flowers.
Girl's chatting in the kitchen. Where else!

Wedding # 3

Emily and Dan
Married Sept. 12 2009.
Emily was the most relaxed bride, I've seen.
I think her secret was her super organizational skills.

The beautiful bride Emily, my niece.
The bouquets were made of different purple hues. I really enjoyed picking out the flowers.

Fall is Here

This was my scarecrow last year.

We have had such gorgeous weather.
I just love this time of year. The sun is shining and it's cool at night.
I got a new comforter for my bed and put that on a couple of nights ago.
Soon I will be making a scarecrow for the contest in Schomberg.
I had to name it and her name is Laney. I'm not sure what I'll do yet.
Here are some pictures of other scarecrows. Pictures of mine will follow.

WOW

Wow, it's been awhile.
Lots of things on the go!
One of them being my 2nd daughter is getting married!
We had a lovely party to celebrate the day of the proposal.
So next summer is the date. It is going to be an outdoor wedding.
Looking forward to helping with the decorating.
Here's some pictures of the party.

I'm Back!!

Wow, the last 3 weeks have gone so fast!
First I went to Quebec for a week, home for a week and off to the trailer for a week!
I truly am blessed to have had this time away with my family.
I explored some neat stores along the way.
Some unique and interesting ones were in Rosseau.
Sarah Richardson, the decorator, from Sarah's cottage, has been to and bought interesting items at them and filmed while doing so.
It's funny because Rosseau is in the middle of nowhere and yet people find them.
I love visiting these shops. It gives me ideas for my store.
Here are a some pictures of my time away. Hope you enjoy.

The back door and wall of the Antique Store.

Nice window boxes and I love the twigs framing the window and hanging over the entrance.
Beautiful colours.
The view from atop the mountain.
This is what we saw outside our window one morning,
the clouds in the mountains. So amazing.
We ate lunch here, so pretty.
Love this decoration outside the store, using twigs and flowers.
