Cuteness

Four little kittens who lost their mommy, were found in our barn.

The kittens have been nurtured and  lovingly cared for 

since hubby found them a week ago. 

The vet estimated them at being 4-5 weeks old. 

 Soon they will be looking for new homes.

What I'm Up To Lately

Over the last couple of days, I've been working on wedding flower quotes.

I've been asked to do 3 weddings, all in August!

After doing my daughter's wedding in April, I've realized how much I enjoy putting together different flowers and choosing the colours that compliment each other 

and then putting it all together.

There are many aspects of this job that involve different skills, not all of them equal in enjoyment. One of my favourite things is meeting with the bride and trying to capture her ideas. Other aspects are figuring out what flowers are in season,  the amount of flowers per bouquet, the type and colours to go with the colour scheme and pricing it all.

(pricing is the part that isn't as enjoyable to me)

It's Been Awhile

I know. It's been awhile since I've posted!

I was figuring out where to go with my blog.

Things have changed a little around here.

Since my last post I haven't done much as far as furniture till lately

when Hubbie and  I (with the boys help) went to Christie's Antique Show.

It was a beautiful day and we did quite well.

 We were using this as a gauge as to whether we would continue with the antiques. 

 I think we're in for September!
