Decorated Store

Finally, I took pictures of the decorated store.
It's always alot of work but so worth it!
I will miss the perfect setting for my stuff but hoping that
we can make our barn just as nice.
Enjoy.

All went Well

The Christmas Open House went well on Saturday.
The weather was beautiful. I'm very thankful for all
the help that I had. It's way more work than I anticipate
but the results are worth it!
Here's a few more decorating tips.
Put  fresh evergreens and candles  in a metal or wooden tray to use as a centerpiece.
By adding pinecones and cinnamon sticks you can spruce it up.
Put two pedestal cake plates together and layer greenery, pinecones and either jars
or candles in between  and on top.

One More Day

Why o, why, do I do it?
Procrastinate that is!!!
Wow, I still have alot of work to do today!
Hubby and daughter came last night and helped me.
So thankful for that!
Below is a unique lantern/wreath/star holder. It is actually multifunctional
.
Decorating Tip #7
Use birch bark logs, cut to size to use as a candle holders,
surrounded by a wreath.

Two tips in one day! Tip # 8
Use your glass plates or even silverplated ones to put a lantern on and again put a
wreath around it or some fresh evergreens and pinecones.
That's it for now folks. Off to make muffins for the Open House. Have a great day!

Finally

Well, I finally started to decorate the store.
It was really hard to get into it.
The sun was shinning so brightly through the windows.
I had the door open with fresh air blowing in.
I always like to completey change the look of the store
so I do put a little bit of pressure on myself.
I didn't really have any ideas, the longer I looked around
and started to put out a few items the more inspired I became.
You'll have to come by and check it out on Saturday.
I need my hubby to help me with the moving of the heavier furniture
so he's coming on Thursday evening to help out. Talk about
cutting it close!!! I always say I work best under pressure.
Here's a few more Christmas items to tease you.

Decorating Tip # 5
Fill a lantern not just with a candle but with little pinecones, acorns
and small evergreen pieces.

Wedding

Busy with a wedding today.
I started the church pieces and the bride's bouquet yesterday .
My mom and lovely daughter(with baby in tow) will be coming to
give me a hand. Maybe we'll get some Christmas stuff done too!
While picking up the flowers I also got a few more
Christmas items. I'm excited to get these out and to get the store
ready for the Christmas Open House next weekend.
I'll leave you with a sneak peek of the flowers. I won't reveal
too much right now since the bride should see them first!

Christmas decorating tip #3. Fill different shaped jars with epsom salts(looks like snow)
and add a tealight or candle.
Display on a ledge or on a mantel.
You can add greenery or different coloured Christmas balls between.

to start decorating for Christmas!
I can't believe I'm thinking that right now as I sit in the
beautiful sunshine.
That's retail.
A nicely textured jingle bell wreath.
 A cute snowman tealight holder.
What little girl wouldn't love Raggedy Anne?
Decorating tip #2: Fill glass vases with  different coloured candycanes.
